If the railway workers' strike is marking time this weekend, disruptions will still be present due to work on the SNCF network

And now the work! If the circulation of RER and Transilien SNCF approaches a return to normal (this Friday, count 3 trains out of 4 in Ile-de-France), nevertheless, this weekend, it will be the return of big work on the network.

Engaged in multiple renovations (800 million euros of work per year), SNCF Réseau Ile-de-France takes advantage of the evenings and weekends, when the crowds on the trains are lower, to interrupt traffic and change tracks, quays or catenaries.

Two major cuts planned

The strike did not affect this work schedule, we are assured at SNCF Réseau. Particularly because, traditionally, few sites are planned in December. In January, it is therefore the return of weekends of traffic interruption. Two major cuts are planned.

RER C. No train this Saturday and this Sunday between Paris Austerlitz and Massy Palaiseau, via Pont de Rungis. The SNCF sets up alternative buses between Austerlitz and Choisy-le-Roi, then strengthens the regular bus lines (3, TVM, 183, 297, 319 and 396) to Massy. Allow 45 minutes to two hours more.

LINE H. No train will run this weekend between Gare du Nord and Saint-Denis. You will have to take the RER D, which takes the same route. The Saint-Denis station is likely to be busier, especially since it is under construction. Prefer connections for Paris from the stations of Ermont Eaubonne or Pontoise (RER C or line J), Epinay-Villetaneuse (T11 then RER D) or Sarcelles (bus then RER D).
