The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Chargé d'Affairs to the Turkish Regime's embassy in Cairo in protest against the statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry about the legal measures that Egypt had taken against the illegal Turkish electronic cell in Egypt.
An Egyptian diplomatic source familiar with the Egyptian media said that the Foreign Ministry expressed during the summons session the Egyptian rejection of the data campaign, the Turkish aggressive statements, while reaffirming the need to respect the Egyptian laws and not to circumvent or violate them.
The Foreign Ministry affirmed that the Turkish statement completely ignores the truth of things and the correctness of the procedures that the Egyptian authorities followed in accordance with the laws and regulations related to media work.
The Egyptian Ministry of the Interior announced earlier that it had monitored one of the Turkish electronic cells that is taking an apartment in the Bab Al-Louk area as a center for its hostile work under the cover of (SITA) for studies established by the terrorist Brotherhood with the support of the Turkish regime through the preparation of negative reports containing false and fabricated information about the conditions in Egypt and sending it to the agency’s headquarters in Turkey with the aim of tarnishing the country's image internally and externally.
