Lebanese President General Michel Aoun discussed in the Baabda Palace with the president in charge of authoring the Lebanese government, Hassan Diab, about current developments and developments in government affairs in light of the ongoing contacts to form the new government.
Diab also discussed with the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, developments regarding the formation of the new government.
Protests and sit-ins continue in a number of Lebanese regions to demand the speedy formation of the government, the improvement of the living conditions, and the accountability of the corrupt.
