The General Authority of Al Qamishli National Hospital provided more than 504 thousand treatment and investigative services to patients and clients during the year 2019, which also witnessed the conduct of quality operations for the first time in the hospital as a brain tumor.
The Authority's director, Dr. Omar Al-Akoub, explained to SANA that the services included outpatient examinations, surgeries, laboratory analyzes and x-rays, confirming the continuous endeavor to develop work in the hospital.
Al-Akoub pointed out that surgeries were carried out during the past year for the first time in the hospital as a brain tumor and a tumor on the thyroid gland, and the number of dialysis sessions increased to 11 thousand sessions for 1465 patients.
Al-Akoub renewed the authority’s request to create a department for burns with its staff and headquarters, pointing out that more than 567 burn injuries were reviewed by the commission during the past year, most of them need specialized management.
