Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is expected to propose an alternative peace plan to the US peace plan on Saturday, sources said to the Jordanian Al-Qaeda channel.
According to the sources, the Palestinians will demand that East Jerusalem be included as their capital as a starting point before any dialogue begins, and they are ready for talks as long as the United States does not act as a mediator for them.
As mentioned, Mahmoud Abbas is expected to speak at noon to Arab foreign ministers. So far apart from Turkey and Jordan, there has been no real opposition to the US peace plan. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry offered the Palestinians to study the program and other Arab countries expressed support. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi will also attend the conference.
