Morocco has received three drones from Israel as part of a $ 48 million acquisition deal, the French website Intelligence Online reports.

The three "Heron" drones (firm in Israel) arrived in Morocco on Sunday. According to the report, it is not yet known what the acquisition deal for the aircraft includes. The UAV Haron was first presented at the Paris Air Force in June 2007. His official reception at the Corps The Israeli air was conducted at Tel Nof base on February 21, 2010 and is operated by Squadron 210. Eitan's first operational flight was at the end of Operation Cast Lead.

Morocco is not the first to buy a Heron Series UAV. In 2018, a € 4 billion lease deal was signed between Germany and the aerospace industry for seven UAV "Heron TP" UAVs.

In Rabat's case, the UAVs are intended to deal with terrorist groups in the southern state, especially against Western terrorist activity. This is territory annexed by Morocco in 1979 but not internationally recognized. In 1991, as part of UN Security Council Resolution 690, Minorso force aimed at maintaining peace in territory. At the international level, Western Sahara is recognized as "self-governing territory".

In general, Jerusalem and Rabat relations experienced ups and downs. In 1995, full diplomatic relations were established following the Oslo Accords, but in just five years the second intifada riots led to the breakup. However, throughout the years many Israelis have traveled throughout Morocco and King Mohammed VI and his people have been accused many times by many Arab countries following the normalization with Israel. Now, reporting in France could turn the rage into a real storm.
