Syria's permanent representative to the United Nations, Dr. Bashar Jaafari, was surprised at the Council's call for an emergency session on Idlib, while its members ignored the condemnation of the acts of aggression, occupation and looting carried out by the Turkish regime in Syria.

Al-Jaafari said during a session of the Security Council: The council should fulfill its responsibilities and compel the Turkish regime to stop its support for terrorism in Syria and stop the settlement of foreign terrorists inside Syrian territories bordering Turkey after the displacement of its residents.

Al-Jaafari wondered why the Security Council failed to condemn the American occupation of parts of Syrian territory and the continuous Israeli attacks on them.

Al-Jaafari clarified that the Turkish regime has brought more of its forces and heavy machinery into Idlib through what it calls “OCHA - humanitarian crossings” with the aim of obstructing Syrian efforts to end the terrorists ’control of its citizens in Idlib.

Al-Jaafari stressed that the permanent members of the Security Council are working to turn it into a platform for NATO and using it to incite Syria, exert pressure on it and try to offend it.

Al-Jaafari said: The aggression forces continue to plunder Syria's wealth through its terrorist tools or directly, and the notes of these countries' politicians and Wikileaks documents confirm this.

Al-Jaafari stressed that improving the humanitarian situation in Syria requires stopping supporting terrorism, aggression and occupation and supporting the state's efforts in combating terrorism.
