Today, Iraqi Deputy Parliament Speaker Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi renewed the demand of the United States of America to withdraw its forces from Iraqi territory, stressing his country's refusal to interfere with Washington in its internal affairs.
Al-Sumaria News website quoted Al-Kaabi as saying in a statement today, "We have previously told you not to interfere in Iraqi affairs, because the people are well aware of the size of your conspiracies and plans and that you do not want good for it."
Al-Kaabi added, "Leave the Iraqi issue to the Iraqis and proceed to complete the complete arrangements for the evacuation of your forces from the country as soon as possible."
On the other hand, a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, MP Bader Al-Ziyadi, described the decision to remove foreign forces from Iraq as a "people's decision" stating that the next government will implement this decision.
Al-Ziyadi said in a statement that “America is considering making the Ein Al-Assad base an eternal base for its forces through its talk about installing Patriot missile batteries in it, but this will not happen and we will not allow it,” adding that “among the most important things that have been agreed with the Prime Minister-designate It is sending an official letter from the government to the American forces demanding that they remove their forces from Iraqi territory.
He continued, "In the event that the American forces insist on staying in some bases, the parliament and its new legislative term will have a pause and issue other decisions preventing any foreign forces from remaining on Iraqi soil."
The Iraqi parliament issued a decision early last month in an extraordinary session obliging the government to work to remove foreign forces from the country after the American crime, by assassinating Major General Qassim Soleimani, commander of the Iranian Quds Force and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Authority near Baghdad International Airport.
