Tonight from Sunday to Monday the Oscars 2019 will take place with the 91st Academy Awards and we will report on the mega event in the live ticker.

Flop 5: The biggest breakdowns ever at the Oscars

Hollywood - There will still be a Hollywood happy ending. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway can once again read out the winner in the "Best Film" category at this year's Oscars - after last time they announced the wrong winner "La La Land" instead of "Moonlight". For many, it was the greatest blunder of the Academy Awards ever. But in the 90-year history of Hollywood's largest gala, there had previously been mishaps that could certainly keep up in terms of embarrassment. Here is the flop 5:

Flop 1 : Sammy Davis Jr. had already read a wrong winner in 1964 when he named John Addison for "Best Film Music". However, he was not even nominated, which is why the audience was completely amazed. Then Davis Jr. was given the correct envelope, which Andre Previn correctly stood for "Irma LaDouce".

Flop 2: Alice Brady won the Oscar in 1938 in the category "best supporting actress". However, she was too sick to be present at the gala. When she was announced the winner, a man came on stage to accept the award for her. The problem: None of the attendees knew the man and when he disappeared without a trace after the show together with Oscar, the drama was perfect. Particularly tragic: Brady died of cancer in 1939 before she could be given a replacement Oscar.

Flop 3: Rosalind Russell was so sure that she would win the Oscar for Best Actress in 1948 that she got up before the winner's name was read. When she heard “Loretta Young for 'Farmers Daughter'”, she froze like a pillar of salt in the middle of the aisle. She was still trying to save the moment by animating the embarrassed audience to a standing ovation for Young.

"Get him from Frank"

Flop 4: At the Oscars in 1933, moderator Will Rogers simply announced the winner for "Best Director" with: "Come and get him, Frank." The problem was that two Franks were nominated in the category. Frank Capra learned this when he first came to the stage. Because the real winner Frank Lloyd (for the film "Calvadade") was two steps behind him.

Flop 5: To this day, John Travolta is still being raised for his incredible slip, which he made in 2015. The star was supposed to announce Idina Menzel, who was nominated for the "Frozen" song "Let It Go". Travolta introduced her as "Adele Dazeem".

At the 90th Academy Awards, the organizers around moderator Jimmy Kimmel will try to avoid a similar breakdown. Here you can find out how you can see the gala live from Sunday to Monday.
