A number of the residents of the eastern neighborhood demanded, during statements to the delegate of Sana, about the events of a school and a health center in the neighborhood, while Ali Ibrahim Mukhtar of the neighborhood indicated the necessity of giving more attention to the various sectors of the neighborhood, especially streets and public hygiene, because the neighborhood's population exceeds 20 thousand people.

On the other hand, other residents of Al-Moadamiyyah pointed to the noticeable gradual improvement in the services of the city, including Jamil Ibrahim, who said: “The city three years ago was without services and necessities, but the situation changed after the return of security and stability to it, where services began to witness a significant improvement.”

Aziza Saimeh considered that the total services in the city are “good and available,” pointing to the need for coordination between the water and electricity institutions to bring water at the best times to homes, while Mahmoud Ahmed Al Sheikh appealed to those concerned to accelerate the provision of basic services in the Hassas area in the city, as their infrastructure is destroyed.

For his part, the President of the Municipal Council, Engineer Bassam Saadi, said that the Ministry of Education was addressed to establish a school in the eastern neighborhood, and there are promises to modernize it, in addition to that work is underway to coordinate in order to serve the neighborhood with a health center.

During the past three years, the focus was on the educational sector in the city because most of the schools were destroyed and burned due to terrorist attacks, according to the statement of the educational counselor in the Damascus countryside governorate Muhammad Tawfiq Idris, considering that the educational reality in the city is stable compared to the past years and the Education Directorate is working to secure all the requirements of the educational process Especially the teaching staff.

Idris explained that the number of schools that were rebuilt and rehabilitated amounted to 12 out of 17 schools that were destroyed, including 5 first episodes, 3 second episodes, 3 high schools and one commercial vocational. These rehabilitated schools include 12 thousand students, stressing that the remaining schools will be rehabilitated this year.

In the same context, the head of the Municipal Council pointed out that the bridge at the entrance to Moadamiyeh causes several problems for schools located near it, in addition to its location at the entrance to the city is not appropriate, so it is important to remove it and establish a new entrance to the city more aesthetic.

As for the reality of cleanliness in the city, it still faces some difficulties, especially in the streets of the eastern neighborhood, due to the lack of mechanisms and workers, according to Engineer Bassam Saadi, who indicated that through joint efforts between them and the families and with modest capabilities they were able to improve the level of hygiene at a minimum, pending the repair of idle mechanisms and an increase in the number of workers.

Saady explained that the large area of ​​the city and its large population that exceeded 200,000 people required greater services in various sectors, revealing the implementation of a number of projects during the current year that include asphalting roads, maintenance of the terminals and lighting, knowing that during the past year three councils implemented asphalt projects and two sanitation and other projects Lighting in the main street.

On the other services, Saadi stressed that most service institutions have returned to work in the city, such as the court, the Land Registry Department and the health center, and that the electricity sector needs some support, as the Rural Electricity Company was addressed to provide the city's emergency with a number of workers and improve the reality of electricity in it.

The head of the Muadamiyyah Emergency Office, Ali Muhammad Hussein, stated in his statement to SANA that the number of installed transfer centers in the city is 35, including 17 in the eastern and northern neighborhoods, and there is a plan to expand the transfer centers and complete the number of centers with their networks during this year, explaining that: “Emergency workers in Muadamiyah They are volunteers, so we need to provide the center with specialized workers. ”

It is considered the best communication between the eligible sectors in the city, according to the head of the Municipal Council, where 12600 telephone lines and 6800 internet gates were installed, knowing that the phone center accommodates 26 thousand phone lines, revealing a plan to install more than 3 thousand Internet gates during the next month of March.

As for water, there are several projects that have been implemented to improve the reality of water, according to the head of the water unit in Mouadamiyeh, Engineer Munib Daher, including the preparation of three wells in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration and five wells in cooperation with Oxfam in the area of ​​Halul, and a contract was also implemented with the International Committee of the Red Cross to restore and restore Rehabilitation of the municipality reservoir with a capacity of 500 cubic meters and its connection with the public network because of its importance in organizing the work of the drinking water network.

Daher showed that another project was implemented in cooperation with the Adra Organization for Development and Relief, which included supplying four wells with their requirements within the city. In addition, the city is supported with a quantity of water to meet the population’s drinking water needs. There is a plan during the current year to prepare a number of other wells to cover the needs of all neighborhoods in the city.
