Today, the US Senate passed a resolution to restrict President Donald Trump's ability to wage war against Iran.

Reuters reported that 55 council members voted in favor of the resolution in exchange for 44 others rejecting it.

Trump's decision obligates Trump to withdraw US forces conducting combat operations against Iran unless Congress declares "war or approved a specific mandate to use military force."

For his part, Trump was quick to respond to the adoption of the decision by declaring his intention to use the veto against him.
