The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced on Friday the first case of the Corona virus in Egypt.
Egyptian media cited a statement from the Ministry of Health stating that a foreign national carried the virus. It was also noted that the ministry is running a prevention program designed to monitor the following from countries considered to be at risk.
The ministry added that laboratory tests were conducted on samples taken from the foreign citizen and the results were positive about the virus being found. However, it was said that no illness symptoms appeared in the citizen.
