1 of 20 | The deadly new coronavirus spreads throughout Asia and throughout the world. The disease was first reported in late December in Wuhan, a city of 11 million people in the central province of Hubei in China. Coronavirus symptoms may resemble a common cold: runny nose, cough, sore throat, possibly headache and fever. But for those with a weaker immune system, the virus could cause more serious diseases such as pneumonia or bronchitis. As health workers look for ways to stop the spread of the virus, containment efforts have been made throughout the world. (CNN) - The Brazilian Ministry of Health confirmed its fourth case of a new coronavirus on Thursday, a 13-year-old girl who arrived from Italy, according to a written statement.

The teenager showed no symptoms after returning to Brazil from Italy last Sunday (March 1), health officials said. Italy has confirmed more than 3,000 cases of new coronaviruses and more than 100 people have died after testing positive.

The 13-year-old girl will remain at her home where she will be monitored by the Department of Health of the state of Sao Paulo, Brazilian health officials said. The same protocol applies to anyone with whom you have had close contact.
