First case of coronavirus in Chile 1:10
(CNN Spanish) - Chile reported on Thursday its fourth case of a new coronavirus. As reported by the Ministry of Health in a statement, it is a 40-year-old person from the Santiago Metropolitan Region who arrived on February 29 from Italy.
According to the official note, this person went to a private health center on Wednesday “with symptoms associated with a respiratory condition”. He is in good general health and was sent to his home where he will remain under epidemiological surveillance.
The Chilean Ministry of Health confirmed on Tuesday the first case of a coronavirus patient in the country. He is a 33-year-old person who traveled through Southeast Asia. This Wednesday they confirmed the second case, a relative of the first patient.
