The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned today the American aggression that targeted yesterday a number of civilian and military sites in Iraq, behind the martyrs and wounded Iraqi citizens and great material losses.
"This American bombing is a flagrant violation of the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Iraq and reflects the reality of the American presence on its lands," the Yemeni news agency Saba quoted a source in the ministry as saying in a statement, calling on the international community to act to stop the United States from interfering in the internal affairs of countries and destabilizing security and stability in it.
The source stressed the right of Iraq to defend itself and respond to any external aggression, expressing Yemen's solidarity with brotherly government and people of Iraq.
Five Iraqi soldiers and a civilian were killed and others wounded in a new American aggression yesterday targeting Karbala airport in Najaf Governorate and a number of Iraqi army, police and popular mobilization sites in other regions of the country.
