Take several measures in Daraa to tackle the Corona virus

Within the framework of government measures to tackle the Corona virus, the Tourism Directorate in Daraa has taken several measures to maintain public health and safety in tourist facilities.

Tourism Director Yasser Al-Saadi said in a statement to a SANA reporter that precautionary measures were taken with the aim of preserving the safety and public health of workers and visitors of tourist establishments, stressing strictness, especially with regard to preventing hookahs, cleaning and sterilizing vegetables and cooking meat well.

The head of the Services and Quality Department of the Tourism Directorate Intisar Mahameed showed that the Judicial Control Committee has intensified its monitoring tours of the tourist establishments licensed in the light of recent government measures and the Ministry of Tourism instructions regarding tackling the Corona virus, explaining that the goal is to preserve the safety of workers and visitors to tourist facilities.

Khalil Al-Masry, owner of the Daraa Gate Resort, stressed that the resort administration is working to clean and sterilize the resort periodically, and hookahs were categorically banned, stressing that Syria is able to tackle the Corona virus thanks to the awareness of its people.

Chef Mohamed Abu Abd showed that the workers in the tourist establishments are committed to the masks, head cover and sterilization procedures for all the materials through the use of sterilizers.

Some of the visitors to the facilities confirmed that the measures taken would address the virus despite the absence of any proven cases in Syria, calling on everyone not to be complacent, reckless and abide by the rules of public cleanliness.

In the same context, the Daraa City Council launched a campaign with spraying with pesticides for garbage containers, and the internal transportation buses of the Council were also sterilized.

The head of the Daraa City Council, engineer Amin Al-Omari, stated in a statement to a SANA reporter today that the city’s cleanliness directorate has started the process of spraying garbage containers with insecticides and sterilizers, and has intensified hygiene campaigns in the main and branch streets, garbage dumping sites and the vicinity of educational centers in addition to carrying garbage to designated places within Well thought out plan.

The President of the Council stressed the importance of citizens cooperating with cleaners and showing a sense of responsibility by throwing garbage in the places and times designated for it to facilitate the work of cadres in the field of monitoring sterilization and reducing the spread of insects and rodents, the main cause of diseases and epidemics.
