The new composition of the Benediktbeurer municipal council was finalized on Sunday at just before 11 p.m.
Benediktbeuern - The CSU remains the strongest force and is represented on the local council by Toni Lugauer, Hanns-Frank Seller, Margarete Steffens, Thomas Guggemos and Hans-Otto Pielmeier (new). The second strongest faction is the Free Citizens List Together, but not as strong as in 2014. Rudi Mühlhans, Dorothea Bugl, Ralph Seifert and Sandra Rauchberger (new) sit on the FBM. The free electoral community and the citizens' association are the same. Stefan Geiger and Leonhard Hundegger are moving in again for the FWG; Markus Schambeck is new. The citizens' association is represented by Bruno Bacher and the two new Georg Bernböck and Toni Lautenbacher. Korbinian Hoiß moves in for the newly founded Junge Union for the first time.
As reported, no new mayor was elected in Benediktbeuern. After the death of City Hall boss Hans Kiefersauer in March 2019, a successor was elected in July 2019. The race was won by Toni Ortlieb from the citizens' association. He will be in office until 2026.
