In the new Eglingen municipal council, the balance of power remains almost the same as in the old one: the CSU and free voters continue to provide seven councils each.

Egling - In the municipality of Egling, the local elections have brought little change in terms of the composition of the local council. It remains that the CSU and the free voters are represented with seven members each. The United Citizenship has lost a mandate, but the old community of Moosham has gained one. The SPD remains with one seat.

Three free voters piled up

New in the council: Michael Förg (free voters)

The free voters, who also list mayor Hubert Oberhauser, were able to defend their seven seats with a final result of 20,607 votes (37.48 percent). Sonja Galli-Krottenthaler (1042 votes), Paul Miller (1692), Peter Bernlochner (1188) and Jakob Bernlochner (1455) are again represented in the municipal council. Johann Mayr (1009), Peter Meier (1029) and Michael Förg (1085), who were elected from the 13th, 14th and 15th place, are new to the committee as free voters. Franz Gröbmair, who switched from the Moosham Old Town list to the Free Voters and held fourth place in the list, is no longer among them.

Known faces at the CSU

The case with the CSU is very similar. Here too, seven seats remained, achieved with 18,662 votes (33.95 percent). Six of the seven elected municipal councilors have been with us for some time. Only Florian Sperl is new, instead of Brigitte Unterholzner, who has not started. "We are absolutely satisfied with the result, we will tackle it together," says list leader and mayor candidate Sperl. From then on, the CSU was represented by himself (2387 votes), Michael Neubauer (1072), Josef Hasch (1556), Theresia Bauer (1266), Heiko Arndt (1517), Peter Lichtenegger (1046) and Hans Spindler (1372). Balbina Fuchs did not make it, despite the promising third place on the list.

United citizenship loses a mandate

The three smaller groups remain in the Eglingen municipal council, which share the remaining six places. The United Citizenship (7,724 votes, 14.05 percent) has lost a mandate, from now on it provides three instead of four local councilors: Josef Bail (1983), Max Sappl (613) and Florian Gams (615). "We missed draft horses like Stefan Kießkalt and Fritz Hofmann this year," says list leader Bail. The two had won 1200 votes in the 2014 election. "It's not that easy to replace," says Bail. So you have to be satisfied.

List old community Moosham increases by a mandate

Happy with the result: Josef Ruml (old community Moosham)

One is really happy with the list of the old community Moosham (4465 votes, 8.12 percent). "It's really great. When the mess with the Corona is over, we attack, ”says list leader Josef Ruml. The list of the old community Moosham was in the past term of a municipal council (Franz Gröbmair). Soon there will be two, namely list leader Ruml (765 votes) and Karin Hansch (980). Ruml finds it good that they are two. "You were simply stuck on your own." The situation with the SPD, which was able to collect 3,516 votes (6.4 percent), remains unchanged. Again Angelika Kassner (800 votes) moves into the municipal council.

Local thinking plays a rather subordinate role in the Eglingen municipal council. It is interesting, however, which old municipalities have how many councils. Six come from Deining, four from Thanning, three each from Neufahrn and Egling, two each from Moosham and Endlhausen. The turnout in the community was exactly 68.18 percent.

The new local council:

Free voters: Paul Miller, Jakob Bernlochner, Peter Bernlochner, Sonja Galli-Krottenthaler, Michael Förg, Peter Meier, Johann Meyr; CSU: Florian Sperl, Josef Hasch, Heiko Arndt, Theresia Bauer, Hans Spindler, Michael Neubauer, Peter Lichtenegger; United citizenship: Josef Bail, Maximilian Sappl, Florian Gams; List of old community Moosham: Josef Ruml, Karin Hansch; SPD: Angelika Kassner.
