Another deadly day in Italy: 345 people died Tuesday (Tuesday) and another 3,526 were infected with the Corona virus, the second most deadly day since the outbreak of the plague in the country.
Despite a slight decline in the number of people infected, the country's closure and economic recovery efforts seem to have failed to slow the spread of the virus so far. The number of patients in the country stands at over 31,000 people, the largest number of active patients in the world.
2,503 people have died as a result of the disease so far in the state and the health system is having trouble coping with the influx of new patients and many are being referred back to their homes.
Italy today announced a reduction in new physician training, which would allow 10,000 new doctors to enter the health care system. Earlier, the World Health Organization declared that Italy was "the most important learning arena in the war against the Corona virus.
Meanwhile, 6 people were diagnosed in Spain as patients or carriers of the passing day virus and 149 died as a result, state health authorities reported today.
The total number of infections in the country, which declared a general civilian closure over the weekend, now stands at 11,178, and the death toll is 491.
