BRUSSELS - SANA
The heads of state of the European Union agreed today to close the external borders of Europe for 30 days to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus and to establish fast paths at the borders of their countries to continue the movement of goods.
Reuters quoted European Commission President Ursula von der Line as saying in a press conference that the issue of applying the border closure to citizens from other countries belongs to European countries and we must now do everything we can to protect our people and our economies.
Von der Line stressed that additional measures take place as the situation evolves and more efforts are made to combat the virus.
The number of new HIV infections and deaths continues to rise, especially in the European continent, which has been described by the World Health Organization as the epicenter of this epidemic.
