Coronavirus: more than 75,000 dead in Europe, according to AFP

The new coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 75,000 people in Europe, 80% of whom are in Italy, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, according to a report compiled by AFP from official sources on Sunday morning.

With a total of 75,011 dead (909,673 cases), Europe is the continent hardest hit by the covid-19 pandemic, which has killed at least 109,133 people worldwide. With 19,468 and 16,972 deaths respectively, Italy and Spain are the most affected European countries. France counts 13,832 dead on its soil, the United Kingdom 9875.
