The death toll of the new coronavirus has surpassed the 20,000 mark in Spain, the third most bereaved country in the world behind the United States and Italy, the Health Ministry announced on Saturday.
Since the start of the epidemic, 20,043 people have died from Covid-19 disease. In 24 hours, the death toll rose to 565, a slight drop from the 585 reported on Friday.
