Municipal: no obvious effect of the vote on the epidemic

On March 12, the President of the Republic announced in a historic speech that the Covid-19 epidemic " is the most serious health crisis that France has known in a century ". There are then less than 3000 confirmed cases and about sixty deaths "only" but the exponential dynamic is initiated and the epidemiologists are formal: if nothing is done to stop it brutally, it will continue inexorably.

Emmanuel Macron announces the closure of schools, calls on the most vulnerable to stay at home, and others to apply more strictly hygiene and social distancing measures that would help curb the epidemic. Then, to everyone's surprise, he maintained the first round of municipal elections scheduled three days later.
