Ask to Investigate Florida Former Legislator Contract for Advice to PDVSA

Democratic Senator Bob Menéndez has petitioned the US Department of Justice. to investigate the management of a company owned by former Florida lawmaker David Rivera, which had a contract with the Venezuelan oil company PDVSA and which is controlled by the questioned President Nicolás Maduro. Rivera, who is not directly accused, assured that the contract was part of an operation financed by the opposition in that country, which was denied by some of his spokesmen.
