Brazil resumed publication of public statistics on the coronavirus on Tuesday after a decision by the Brazilian Supreme Court.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes announced in a press release published on the website of the Supreme Court that the Ministry of Health must "completely restore the publication of data relating to the coronavirus epidemic, under the same conditions as those used previously."

Health Minister Eduardo Pazuello said in a televised speech that there had never been any intention on the part of the government to revise the published data.
Brazil has confirmed more than 700,000 cases of contamination with the coronavirus, the second most affected country after the United States. The death toll in the country exceeds 37,000.
