Hundreds of protesters, marching with Palestinian flags, began a procession in the area of an awning residence where two years ago, during the renovation work, an ancient Muslim cemetery was uncovered and recently the Supreme Court allowed the cemetery to be vacated. The protesters continued from there to the clock square. During the procession secured by Yiftah police, protesters began firing fireworks and in response, police threw shock grenades and arrested one of the demonstrators who fired a dumpster
Demonstrators later lit bins and tires on Yefet Street and threw stones at vehicles and police. At one point, a Dan bus that was hit in the area was also stoned with stones and its windows smashed. The police rescued the uninjured driver.
