According to the Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance, Chapter 238 of the Laws of Hong Kong, any air gun that can fire bullets or projectiles with a muzzle energy exceeding 2 joules is a firearm and requires a license from the Commissioner of Police. Possession without a license is illegal Once convicted, the maximum fine is 100,000 yuan and imprisonment for 14 years.
