President Donald Trump and the Democratic presidential candidate are on par with the state of Florida with 48% of the vote each, according to a poll published tonight (Wednesday) on the American television network NBC.

About eight weeks before the national election, the gaps are starting to narrow in the various states and in Florida, which is considered the home state of the president, this is significantly reflected.

But on the other hand, according to Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion in which the survey was conducted, "it is not unusual for the results in the country to be close."

The president received the majority of votes from the Latin community while Biden won the majority of older voters.

It was further revealed that Trump is leading as the candidate who will be able to rehabilitate the American economy, while participants think that the Democratic candidate is the one who will cope better with the corona virus and interracial tension.

Florida is considered one of the most powerful and influential states in the president's identity, given the fact that it has 29 electoral votes and according to Miringoff "if Trump loses here - that's the end of the story, but if he wins - it will be a long night and eyes will move to Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania."

Meanwhile, Trump held an election rally in North Carolina yesterday during which he attacked his opponent in the presidential race for causing a loss of U.S. jobs.

"His perception is made in China - and mine is in the United States," he told the crowd that came to greet him at the airport.

He later attacked Biden's deputy, Camela Harris, saying: "No one loves her and she could become the first president of the United States - which would be an insult to our country."

According to another report in the United States, the president intends to announce during the day the withdrawal of all American forces in Iraq, as what will most likely be a preliminary announcement of the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan, a government official told reporters last night.
