If Ofer Shelach is headed by Yesh Atid, his party will receive 11 seats - only two seats less than what the party will receive if Yair Lapid heads it.

This is a good starting point for those who are currently considered No. 2 and this indicates the status of Shelach, who does not fall short of that of Lapid, who has led Yesh Atid since its inception about eight years ago.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu preferred not to use the polling station on August 23, the deadline for the transfer of the budget, due to the high risk for him and the Likud's continued decline in the polls.

The "Israel Today" survey, conducted through the "Brain Pool" led by Prof. Yitzhak Katz, shows that the Likud does have a downward trend and now stands at only 31 seats. If Netanyahu and Bennett cooperate, the two, who together hold 51 seats, could easily form a right-wing ultra-Orthodox coalition, but a coalition that was only taken a few months ago is now in doubt, as its right has remained in opposition and has not joined the government.

The survey was conducted among 565 respondents, who are a representative sample of the adult population in Israel.

Sampling error 4.3% here or there.

According to the survey, the right-wing bloc, which includes the Likud (31), the right (20), Shas (9) and Torah Judaism (7), will be able to form a government with a majority of 67 Knesset members.

In the left bloc, the largest party is the joint Arab list, which receives 17 seats.

Yesh Atid (led by Lapid) receives 13. Blue and white led by Bnei Gantz with only 10 seats.

Meretz receives 5 seats.

The Labor Party does not pass the blocking percentage (3 seats).

Derech Eretz, led by Yoaz Handel and Zvi Hauser, also does not pass the blocking percentage (one seat according to the survey).

Yisrael Beiteinu receives 8 seats.

And what would happen if not only a bad future but also blue and white were to replace the leadership, and Gabi Ashkenazi was the one who would lead the party?

According to the poll, such a move would not benefit Gantz and Ashkenazi's party, which is led by Ashkenazi for only 11 seats.

Recently there has been talk of the possibility of a bang on the left with new players joining the arena.

Two of the names in question are Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai and former chief of staff Gadi Izenkot. The poll examined how much a party led by these two people would get if they joined politics. Those who come mainly at the expense of Yesh Atid, who receive 9, Blue and White, who in this case receive only 6, and Meretz, who receive 3 seats and are in danger of not passing the blocking percentage.

There is hope for the new

On the question of suitability for prime minister, no less than a revolution was recorded.

Although the first place remains for Netanyahu, who receives 32%, in second place is not the left-wing candidate, but rather Naftali Bennett, who receives 17%.

Bnei Gantz, who is due to step into the prime minister's shoes next November under the coalition agreement, seems fit for the job in the eyes of only 10% of the public.

While Yair Lapid is a little more suitable and receives 12% in the survey.

On the question of eligibility Bennett receives support from right-wing voters at a rate of 68%.

Of Torah Judaism voters at a rate of 17% and Shas voters at 10%. Another interesting statistic is that among Derech Eretz voters in the poll, Bennett is 80% eligible for prime minister - even more than right-wing voters, 24% of whom think Netanyahu is more suitable.

The price of the corona

The survey examined what the public thinks about the government's handling of the corona crisis.

In this respect there is no doubt that the government has failed in public opinion.

59% responded that the treatment was bad or very bad.

Only 16% believe that government treatment of the crisis is good or very good.

In the economic field, too, the functioning of government needs to be improved, according to the survey.

54% give a bad and very bad score.

Only 20% think that the function is good or very good.

Of all the figures who function at the forefront of the struggle in Corona on behalf of the Israeli government, the one who receives the highest score is the projector Prof. Roni Gamzo.

36% say they are satisfied or very satisfied with its performance.

Only 25% are satisfied with Netanyahu's performance.

Bnei Gantz gets 12%.

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein receives 18%, while Finance Minister Israel Katz with 15% who are satisfied with his performance.

If you quantify the percentage of satisfied and dissatisfied from the various personalities to scores from 1 to 5, gamble with the high score of 3.02.

Health Minister Edelstein followed with a score of 2.45.

They are followed by Netanyahu who gets a score of 2.39, Bnei Gantz with a score of 2.32, Israel Katz with a score of 2.26, while the leader of the opposition, Lapid, gets a total score of only 2.15.
