While we are all uncertain about the outbreak of the corona and holiday plans, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced another peace agreement yesterday (Friday), this time with Bahrain, which will also be signed soon on Tuesday at the White House, in a situation similar to that expected with the UAE.

It is still too early to talk about Bahrain tourism, or in general about the use of the word Bahrain, and as long as the corona is raging around the world, it is not known when, if at all, flights from Israel departed there.

All this, of course, did not really stop us from searching the net for information about the existence of a culinary scene in the country, which certainly exists, and searching Instagram for the most equal restaurants in it.

In the small Gulf state, just like in Israel, the restaurants closed somewhere in mid-March with the eruption of the corona and operated in a delivery-only format.

Unlike us, the restaurants reopened for seating, outside only, only in early September.

Chicken Dum Biryani is yet another culinary treasure inside the Saffron Restaurant kitchen.

It reminisces the rich culinary heritage of India.

However, it is a common myth that traditional dishes are difficult to prepare as they need a lot of time and effort.Experience this authenticity at our restaurant.

Although Bahrain, like any touristy country, is full of Western restaurants, deliveries and junk food, the Bahraini also boast a number of traditional dishes (for them, Iraqis and Saudis) and quite a few places that serve them.

The most prominent is a dish called "laundry", which is also considered the national dish of Saudi Arabia and is usually made from rice, meat, vegetables and a mixture of spices.

Another dish that sounds no less delicious is "kozi", a dish that originated in Iraq and includes slow-cooked lamb with raisins, nuts and other spices.

As befits a country with a sea, Bahrain also has plenty of fish and seafood restaurants, which over the years have also led to "fish" versions of the traditional dishes in the place.

In addition, you will find many Arab restaurants that sell all known dishes, from hummus, shawarma and falafel to halva and other delicious and very addictive desserts.

At the top of the list of local restaurants has been the "Saffron" restaurant for several years, serving upgraded local food in the chef restaurant version.

Alongside all this, as mentioned, the palate of the many tourists in the country also needs to be taken into account and therefore there are also many western restaurants, especially in the capital Manama.

Ranging from many Italian restaurants, French pastries, and Asian and Mexican food in all possible price ranges.

Bahrain is also full of luxury restaurants, according to a tour of the Instagram accounts of local foodies and websites.

A large part of the rankings and parades is headed by chef "Susi Mazetti" restaurant "Masso".

The restaurant is Mediterranean / Italian style and has a menu that varies according to the available raw materials, so those who visit it are often forced to return more than once.

Another notable chef restaurant is Michelin-starred Indian chef Vinnit Batia's Rasoi, the restaurant is especially popular in the country and attracts, when it is open and the health condition allows it, many diners who fill it to capacity.

A food bar that has received many positive reviews is the "Blue Moon Lounge" which is located on the fifth floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in the capital of Manama.

It seems that the country also excels in a category that is considered especially likable by Israelis.

Breakfast.

Many places serve special brunches, there are also quite a few third-generation cafes alongside traditional roasting, and of course breakfasts in a European atmosphere - French, Italian and more.

According to local media the best restaurant in this category is "Choices", but it is followed by another long and impressive list.

The leading cafe in the country, with a variety of branches full to capacity, is "Café Lilou".

If we are lucky, we will find a variety of drinks, pastries and desserts in a particularly tempting Parisian style, on the seam between a gourmet and a comfortable cafe for meetings and fun.

In conclusion, this is by all accounts a place worth getting to, in the meantime we will continue to cook in chicken breast and vegetables while we dream of a culinary flight in Bahrain and the Emirates.
