Referring to the issue, Trump said nine Supreme Court justices are needed as he estimates that the upcoming presidential election will come up for hearing in that court.

The death of Baider-Ginsburg reduced the number of judges to eight.

The President estimated that the approval process would be conducted expeditiously.

At the same time, the coffin of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg was placed yesterday at the foot of the Supreme Court in Washington.

While the masses pay their last respects to the Jewish and groundbreaking judge, the White House has stepped up a gear in finding her replacement, with President Trump meeting for the second time on Tuesday with Amy Connie Barrett, who is considered the favorite candidate for the post.

The president of the Supreme Court, the conservative John Roberts, paid tribute to his liberal colleague on Tuesday, in a short ceremony held by the Supreme Court justices, calling her a "rock star."

"Between the words to describe Ruth: tough, brave, warlike, victorious," Roberts said, with tears in his eyes.

"But also: considerate, careful, compassionate, honest."

President Trump is expected to come to the plaza today.

Trump, who is expected to announce his candidacy to succeed Ginsburg as early as Saturday, met for the second time in the White House on Tuesday with Amy Connie Barrett, a judge who currently serves in Chicago, is popular with conservatives, and is considered a favorite for appointment.

Sources in the administration told CNN that Barrett listed Trump in their first meeting on Monday, and climbed to the top of the list of candidates.

On Friday, while in Miami, the president is expected to meet with Barbara Lagoa, a judge of Cuban descent in Florida who is considered one of the top candidates, and many believe that choosing her will benefit Trump in the election as well.

But for now, Goa's chances of winning the job seem lower than Barrett's.

Florida, one of the most important states in the election to be held in early November, and judging by a recent poll by the Washington Post and ABC published last night - the identity of the winner there is far from clear.

According to the poll, Trump leads among voters who are likely to vote 51 to 47, but his rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, leads among all registered voters 48 to 47. In Arizona, too, there is a close race: 49 to 48 for Trump among those likely to vote, and 49 against 47 Leiden among all registered voters.
