The Minister of Environmental Protection, Gila Gamliel, who was diagnosed as positive for the corona virus earlier this week, violated the closure guidelines - this was reported by publications today (Monday) in Haaretz and Here News.

Her response to the incident: "I acted within the confines of the closure to continue my day-to-day public activities and in light of being a mother to small girls, and my desire to combine the two. I understand that at this time I apologize for this to the public, and announce that I will pay the required fine. "

Minister of Environmental Protection Gila Gamliel, who was diagnosed as positive for the corona virus earlier this week, violated the closure guidelines.

The reports revealed that the minister was staying in a synagogue in Tiberias on Yom Kippur, where she was allegedly infected with the virus.

As you may recall, Gamliel lives in a house in north Tel Aviv, 150 kilometers away.

Haaretz reported yesterday that at the beginning of the epidemiological investigation, Gamliel allegedly tried to mislead the Ministry of Health and evade them.

The minister then claimed to have been infected by her driver.

However, it later emerged that her family members, who had contracted the virus with her, did not come into contact with the driver.

Afterwards, Gamliel admitted that she visited the synagogue on Yom Kippur.

Before Gamliel, the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Rafi Peretz, the Minister of Immigration and Absorption, Pnina Temano-Sheta, and the former Minister of Housing, Yaakov Litzman, contracted the virus.

Among the Knesset members, the chairman of the joint list, Ayman Odeh, the Deputy Minister of Internal Security, Gadi Yabarkan, and the MKs Moshe Arbel, Sami Abu Shehadeh and Winon Azulai, were infected.
