Luke Dimon, the magician from Forstinning, presented his current solo program “Nothing but Luke and Trug” in the town hall.

Erding - Nothing but “Luke and Trug” in the town hall in Erding.

Luke Dimon alias Lukas Lehnertz does not take the truth very seriously.

But when appearances deceive being and magical-mystical forces unfold their effect, then the deception becomes breathtaking art.

On Saturday evening, the German master of magic stood on the Erdinger stage and showed that magic really shapes the moment.

The multi-talent from Forstinningen presented a “by far” breathtaking magic and comedy show.

The spice of magic, increase "Maggi", Luke Dimon squealed and pulled a vial from his sleeve.

But manipulation is still more essential for his show.

"That has nothing to do with deception, but comes from the Latin of manus, the hand and the German word pulen," he translated freely.

The illusionist then demonstrated his sleight of hand.

The tricks unavoidable in magicians followed: cards appeared from the sleeves of the jacket, emerged from behind the master's ears and crumbled into confetti.

"My viewers are always divided into two groups: some are completely amazed and enjoy the evening, others want to know how I actually do it." And he advises: "Let yourself be enchanted and indulge in magic."

The 25-year-old artist alternated between glitz and glamor, slapstick and sometimes crude puns.

Sometimes he read from his corona diary, sometimes he excelled as a singer who juggled balls en passant.

And Simsalabim, he was already pulling a cloth from an egg or swinging a full whiskey glass upside down that he had previously placed in a ring.

Then he emptied full bowls of water, which were always refilled with liquid.

Comedic acting was also part of the magician's repertoire on Saturday evening, for example with a fast forward and slow backward number, a kind of time loop, so to speak: “After all, improvisation is everything,” he advised the audience.

This year no spectators were allowed on stage because of the distance rules.

Luke Dimon nevertheless drew the audience into his show and of course also under his spell, asked questions and countered with funny answers.

The German master of magic, magician of the year and Grand Prix winner of magic covered the entire spectrum of the genre within 60 minutes.

In the end, the Forstinninger became almost philosophical.

“The culture has to live,” he said.

He is grateful that there are again events in the Erdinger Stadthalle.

But he also showed gratitude to the audience who came to his show despite Corona.

"The moment is so precious, as light as a balloon," said the magician.

A red balloon on a ribbon rose, a symbol of a magical life.

"Falling in love, making decisions, failing, drawing the consequences - and creating something new again" was his credo.

"We come naked, we go naked - and we should make the best of our lives." (Michaele Heske)
