Ben Ozeri, 23, has taken on a life-saving task, rescuing as many dogs from abuse as possible.

He began his career in the world of rescuing, treating, and rescuing dogs as early as his military service, then rescued abused dogs, especially in the Palestinian Authority.

At the same time, he founded the Facebook page "Rescuing the Hebron Dogs", and slowly became one of the best-known dog rescuers in Israel.

Today he has an array of volunteers, and his main occupation is a stubborn war against time, locating those needy dogs, and providing immediate help to them, and then finding a warm home that will adopt them - for life.

Ozeri currently lives with 13 dogs in the small one-room apartment he rents in Tel Aviv.

We often hear about horrific cases of abuse of animals, but this case we are bringing here today, is one of the hardest we have heard of, which has left even the vets open-mouthed.

We joined today (Tuesday) for a special broadcast that deals entirely with Ron's difficult story.

A lovely dog who was severely abused and found in the village of Silwan by family members suffering from burns in about 70% of his body parts.

Those good people immediately turned to my assistant, who took Ron and began a process of assistance, rescue and treatment - which continues now.

Ron, so named with the name of the clinic worker who first welcomed him, is a particularly friendly dog and even now, after all he has been through, still very much loves humans.

During the broadcast, we will talk to Ido Galante, one of the doctors at the "Vet Point" clinic in Tel Aviv, who is in charge of Ron's rehabilitation.

Galanta will tell us about the process Ron has gone through since arriving at the clinic and in loving hands.

Ron who has suffered too much from human hands has a chance to get to a warm home where he will be loved, but all this can not happen before the long-term treatment that awaits him and the rehabilitation that will come after him.

A crowdfunding project for Ron opened this week and can be donated to save it here.
