The defense of judicial independence and private property were combined with the unease over the prolongation of the quarantine.

In the same week that the ruling party

had planned to recover the political initiative

with a virtual event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of October 17, tens of thousands of citizens, whose only point of convergence is dissidence with Kirchnerism, took to the streets of cities throughout the country to question each of the points on the agenda that Alberto Fernández deployed in his first ten months in office.

The testimonies that journalists collected in the different marches of

12O

show that this time the protests that were chained in the

different banners summoned throughout the year

were condensed

, which were gaining

mass

.

In the protesters' complaints, complaints were heard about the releases and domiciliary of prisoners that occurred at the beginning of the pandemic;

the defense of private property, with allusions to the failed nationalization of the Vicentín cereal company and also to the land seizures in the Buenos Aires suburbs and in Patagonia and the denunciation of the judicial reform as an attempt by Cristina Kirchner to stop the investigations by corruption during his government.

Perhaps the most unique thing this time was the enunciation of

the variety of discomforts generated by the quarantine

that was maintained - to different degrees - from March 20 until today.

In

Córdoba

, the owners of tourism agencies and dance schools

complained

, in the

Obelisco

there were complaints from people who asked -with their chinstrap-, the recovery of the freedom to circulate or work, in the

Quinta de Olivos

, a doctor he denounced the error of maintaining such long isolation measures.

In the Government they

know this malaise

- "The pandemic and the quarantine took something out of everyone," a minister says - and they also know that the prolongation of the quarantine pulverized the possibility of effective health prevention policies.

Seeing the photo of the

empty streets when there were 30 cases a day

and comparing it with today's image, which shows

almost normal

levels of

street traffic with 15 thousand cases of contagion per day,

makes even the most official party doubt the effectiveness of the management of the pandemic deployed by the Government.

Until now, there are no known cases of national officials, governors or mayors who have admitted errors in handling the pandemic, but have closed schools throughout the country when the disease affected tiny portions of the territory and begin to reopen them when the virus circulates. In almost all of Argentina he speaks of the failure in planning that implied having designed

undifferentiated responses

for

 very diverse situations

.

The protest, as has already been said, not only speaks to the Casa Rosada and Cristina Kirchner.

After all, the Frente de Todos already knows that it has a lot of people standing on the sidewalk in front.

It also rearranges the weights in the opposition.

The "moderates" like Horacio Rodríguez Larreta decided long ago that they will not participate in the calls for the banderazos while the quarantine is maintained.

Mauricio Macri, on the other hand, celebrated the protest without lapses, and even linked it to the future of the opposition.

It remains to be seen which of these two positions is imposed in Together for Change.
