Today, the Greek authorities announced the registration of the highest daily death toll from the emerging coronavirus.
Reuters quoted the Greek health authorities as saying that they had recorded 2,917 new cases of the virus during the past 24 hours, reaching a new daily peak hours after announcing that they would re-impose general isolation measures throughout the country.
Yesterday, Greece recorded a record number of 2,646 virus infections, as the toll rose by 20 percent over the past few days.
And the Greek authorities had previously announced the imposition of a partial closure on the country's territory against the backdrop of unprecedented increases in injuries.
