In early February 2020, about 200 people gathered in a small, snow-covered town in Iowa to watch Joe Biden, the former vice president trying to win the country to gain momentum and become the Democratic presidential candidate.

It took him a while, after a loss in Iowa and other states, but eventually became a candidate.

Yesterday (Friday) I arrived in his hometown, Wilmington, Delaware.

Many brown police vehicles of the state's patrol trooper were already near his home, at 1209 Barley Mill Road.

It is not surprising if we think for a moment that the man who lives at this address is expected to move to the White House in a few months, if and when the election results decide he is the winner of the 2020 election. Currently the networks in America have declared him the winner but the road to the White House is not final.

Delaware's very kind cops let me get close to his house, but right at the entrance to the house - 400 yards - I was asked to make a U-turn.

"Where are the journalists?"

IM asking.

"Between the trees," the kind policeman smiles at me.

A local who comes with his car tells me that Biden likes to walk around in nature and play sports.

"Are you excited that your neighbor is going to be president?"

I asked, "I'm mostly not jealous of him," the neighbor tells me.

"Think what awaits him, the economy and the corona, not simple."

Biden's neighborhood is very beautiful.

"You don't see him much," the neighbors say, but they say he is a humble man, and acts like a simple citizen.

Lisa, Joe Biden's neighbor tells me, "I'm very proud that my neighbor is becoming President of the United States.

A stone is rolled from our hearts that Trump will not continue. "I ask why:" He did not listen to the experts on the Corona.

It's the corona, idiot, as Clinton said, he'd degraded America.

My husband and I are in the clouds.

We are convinced that he will be an excellent president. "Joe, one of the neighbors says:" It's nice that my neighbor is president, but the main thing is that we got rid of President Trump and it's worth it.

After arriving in his residential neighborhood, I continued to the Chase Convention Center in his hometown, where he delivered a late-night speech in an attempt to brand himself as someone who would win the presidency.

He called on the people to count the votes patiently, emphasizing that while he has not yet won, it will happen he claims.

He arrived accompanied by his designated deputy Kamla Harris.

This was not a declaration of victory but a declaration of confidence.

But the amazing thing is that even in Wilmington I did not see a large audience.

There were 300 roof people, and that's not safe either.

Some came from nearby Pennsylvania.

Some families.

Some posters.

Lots of masks.

Shaney Davenport arrived accompanied by her son Troy Davis.

They walked embracing.

"Yes we are very pleased with what is happening in America, and with the election results. We were hoping to come here and hear a victory statement, but Biden knows what he is doing. There is too much tension in the air and it is better to wait for the moment he gets 270 electors. We are very close."

Troy told me.
