Roni, director of the Hong Kong Wild Boar Concern Group, said that he was very saddened by the suspected beheading of a wild boar in Wong Chuk Hang. He pointed out that wild boars in Wong Chuk Hang often go to the urban area for food.

Roni reprimanded the murderers for lawlessness, feeling that the recent cases of cruelty to animals have become more serious, and the murderers have also intensified their abuse of animals.

Roni pointed out that in recent years of cruel animal cruelty cases, the murderers used heinous methods, including more than 30 pets in Sham Tseng Luxury Garden, which were brutally pinched off the street, resulting in 18 deaths and 12 injuries. He felt that the perpetrator had avoided criminal responsibility and was able to get rid of the law. The incident reflected the excessive lenient legal prosecution, and also reflected the current legal loopholes. Roni hopes that the police will strictly enforce the law and investigate the case.
