The government will vote today (Thursday) on a series of traffic restrictions during Hanukkah, in an attempt to prevent family incidents of lighting candles and thus minimize infections in Corona.

The restrictions that the ministers will vote on will appear in a proposed resolution according to which during the holiday, moving between houses in the evening will be prohibited, and trade will be closed during these hours.

According to the draft decision that will be presented to the government this morning, from the evening until December 17 from 5:30 PM to midnight, it will be prohibited to stay in another person's residence, except in essential cases.

Violation of the restriction will result in a fine of NIS 500.

It will also be prohibited to hold or participate in a gathering of two or more people in a closed building, except for people living in the same house, and ten people in an open space.

According to the decision, it is proposed to stipulate that up to ten people, including in open space, will be allowed in prayer houses.
