The government is expected to vote tomorrow on a proposal that during Hanukkah there will be a ban on moving between houses in the evening, in order to prevent family incidents of lighting candles - officials in the health system said tonight (Wednesday).
In addition, trade will also be closed in the evening, in parallel with the ban on moving between houses.
This proposal comes after the idea of nocturnal closure fell off the chapter, having already been approved this week by the Corona Cabinet.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu postponed the cabinet meeting that was supposed to deal with the details of the nightly closure, due to legal difficulties that arose around the imposition of the closure.
"Following the legal difficulties that have arisen in approving a night closure, alternatives are now being considered that will prevent gatherings on Hanukkah and towards the end of the civil year," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.
"The Ministry of Health is continuing to work on drafting the resolution and therefore the cabinet meeting scheduled for tonight will be postponed and is expected to take place tomorrow."
