The Trump administration has informed Congress of its intention to promote a deal to sell advanced weapons to Morocco, officials familiar with the matter told Reuters tonight (Saturday).
As part of the deal, Washington reportedly will sell Rabat four MQ-9B SeaGuardian UAVs, made by General Atomics, which include advanced firing and navigation systems manufactured by Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Boeing. The
report comes amid a White House announcement on Thursday of normalization Relations between Israel and Morocco, and the Trump administration's recognition of Moroccan sovereignty in Western Sahara.

NEWS reported on Thursday a deal emerging between the United States and Morocco under which sold four advanced UAVs of this model, but a senior US official who is involved in the details said then that it was debated for months and not linked to the announcement of normalization between Jerusalem and Rabat.
