The chairman of the board and medical director, Prof. Dr.
Michael Beyer, has therefore "
imposed
an
admission freeze for all elective inpatients and outpatient interventions
with immediate effect
." The surgical and conservative treatment of tumor patients is excluded from this.
"This is the only way we can ensure that our intensive care capacities as well as the bed capacities in the Covid * normal ward areas are not overused," said Beyer.
The admission freeze therefore applies to all inpatients and outpatient interventions that do not require urgent treatment.
