Schongau -

The Peitinger drove his car down Augsburger Straße towards Hohenfurch at around 1:20 p.m.

In a sharp left turn on the Krankenhausberg, the Peitinger apparently lost control of his vehicle due to slippery ice.

The car came off the lane to the left, slid over the guardrail and then fell down the embankment.

The car overturned several times and the car finally came to a stop again on its wheels in the adjacent field.

The driver was lucky in the accident, as the Schongau police reported.

Despite the rollover, he was only slightly injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital in Landsberg by the ambulance service.

An economic total loss of around 1500 euros was incurred on the vehicle.

It was no longer roadworthy after the accident and therefore had to be towed away.

In addition, there was damage to the guardrail and the soil of the embankment.

The police estimate this property damage at a total of around 3,000 euros.
