The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia today seized seven tons of spoiled fish not suitable for human consumption inside a refrigerator in a facility near the opposite factory in the governorate countryside, intended for sale in other governorates.
The head of the Consumer Protection Department at the Directorate, Eng. Ahmed Zahir, told SANA's reporter that through the directorate’s intensive patrols to monitor markets and commercial activities, the fridge, which was found to contain quantities of fish unfit for human consumption, was seized, pointing out that the directorate organized the necessary control and referred the violator to the competent court with waxing The refrigerator and the confiscation of the quantities in preparation for the destruction of the entire quantities in the first place.
