The Lebanese Ministerial Committee for Combating Coronavirus has announced a general closure in the country from next Thursday until the end of this month.
The Lebanese National News Agency quoted the caretaker Minister of Health Hamad Hassan as saying in a joint press conference with Interior Minister Mohamed Fahmy: "The committee will accompany, during the closure period, preparing hospitals to increase their capacity."
For his part, the Minister of Interior confirmed that his ministry would reduce the number of arrivals to Lebanon during the closure period.
And the head of the caretaker government in Lebanon, Hassan Diab, announced earlier today that intensive care beds in the country's hospitals have become full, and Lebanon needs exceptional and strict measures to confront Corona.
Today, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of 2,861 new cases of corona, bringing the total to 192,139, and 13 deaths were reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,499.
