Hagit Moshe won the primaries in the Jewish House and will be the next chairman of the party - according to the majority of votes.

The victory will facilitate the union with the Religious Zionist Party led by Bezalel Smutrich as he is interested in becoming a leader, something that candidate Nir Orbach refused to grant him.

Itamar Ben Gvir, one of the leaders of Jewish power, congratulated Moshe on her victory.

"We hope that Moshe will be a partner in a great connection in religious Zionism, which will prevent the formation of a left-wing government," he said.

"The people of the Jewish House understand today that Rabbi Peretz and Nir Orbach, who led the violation of the agreement in the face of power, did great damage to their party."

He said, "Everyone already knows that without a union to the right of Bennett, a left-wing government will be formed."

Moshe is the deputy chairman of the Jerusalem municipality and holds the education portfolio in the city council. She is considered close to Prime Minister Netanyahu.
