Did the Europeans learn from the mistakes made at the start of the pandemic when, in panic, they closed the internal Schengen borders?
Less than a year later, the same circumstances produce the same effects.
Distraught by the circulation of the new variants of the coronavirus, many Member States have again chosen in recent weeks to shut themselves up, increasing border controls, prohibiting non-essential travel, and ultimately creating a lot of confusion and a lot of misunderstanding among European citizens.

On Sunday, Germany was thus closed to the Czech Republic and Austrian Tyrol.
Only essential workers can enter the country, i.e. nurses, doctors, truck drivers, etc.
Provided, however, that a PCR test is produced.
The German federal police, dispatched to the borders, are overwhelmed.
Hence the tens of kilometers of traffic jams and the risk of a disruption of supply in a supposedly single market
