The Biden administration launches its first challenge to China in the field of vaccine diplomacy.
By announcing on Friday an ambitious program for the production and distribution of a billion Covid vaccines in the Indo-Pacific region in cooperation with India, Japan and Australia, the new American president chose to counteract with his Beijing's regional ambitions are its own weapon, which has made vaccine distribution one of the branches of its policy of influence abroad.
This plan was launched during a multilateral summit bringing together Washington's main allies in this part of the world: India, Japan and Australia.
