European countries today (Tuesday) sought further clarifications regarding the safety of Astraznica and Oxford's corona.

This is after the criticism they received for their decision to stop using them in the midst of the shuffling vaccine operation on the continent, in which about 575,000 people died from the virus and the economies experienced painful upheavals.

Germany, France, Spain and Italy and nine other countries said they were awaiting the conclusions of the European Medicines Agency, which is examining a small number of blood clots in vaccinated people, out of "precautionary measures".

On the other hand, other EU companies, such as Belgium, the Czech Republic and Poland, continue to use these vaccines.

The European Medicines Agency said today that its findings would be released tomorrow, but stressed that it was "very convinced" of the effectiveness of Astrazenica vaccines.

The agency's chairwoman, Cook, said the cases of blood clots cited by some countries are also relatively common among the general population, regardless of one vaccine or another.

In a joint statement issued later, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said these things were "encouraging".

Similar calming remarks were also heard from the World Health Organization, after a gathering of experts followed by it being said that there was “no evidence” that the blood clots were linked to the vaccine.

The organization has urged countries not to halt their vaccination campaigns, while large parts of the continent are experiencing new waves of illness.

In the

UK

, which is no longer a member of the European Union and has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world, more than 11 million people have already received at least one dose of the Asterzanica vaccine and have not had excess blood clots.

"We are waiting for a kind of sentence from the scientific community."

In

France

, Health Minister Olivier Varane said today that "we are awaiting a sort of verdict from the European scientific community on Thursday afternoon, which will allow us to continue the operation."

Alan Fischer, a vaccine expert who heads an advisory body to the French government, said that "there have been a few exceptional and disturbing cases that justify this stoppage and the test."

"This is not a lost time," he said.

This is while French Prime Minister Jean Castex said the country was in a "third-wave type" due to three different variants of the virus spreading in it.

In

Germany

, the Ministry of Health also addressed a small number of cases of rare blood clots among vaccinated people, which justified the decision.

The ministry postponed a conference that was supposed to deal with the expansion of the faltering vaccination campaign in Germany, until a decision is made by the European Medicines Agency.

Some German politicians and experts have criticized Chancellor Angela Merkel's government decision.

Karl Lutherbach, an epidemiologist and spokesman for the Social Democratic Party for Health, said that while the suspension of vaccines is a justified decision, it is also political.

"I would also be vaccinated now with Astraznica, based on the incidents we are familiar with now, the benefit from the vaccine is significantly higher than the risks, especially for the adults," he said in a radio interview.

Merkel's conservative party recorded disappointing results in Sunday's regional elections, in part because of its treatment of the plague.

Last year, during the first wave, Germany was considered a global success story.

Last week, however, the number of new diagnoses increased by 20%.

Elsewhere on the continent,

Italy

and the

Netherlands are

stepping up enforcement, and in Oslo, the capital of

Norway

, stricter restrictions have been imposed.
