A private school in Miami assured that it will not employ anyone who has received the COVID-19 vaccine, claiming that the injection may not be safe even though all scientific evidence indicates just the opposite: getting vaccinated saves lives.

Centner Academy outlined its controversial policy in a letter to parents,

encouraging teachers and staff not to get vaccinated

"until more research is available."

Those who do wish to be vaccinated are asked to wait until the end of the school year.

"This was not an easy decision to make," the letter says, "it was a consensus of our advisers until this topic is further investigated, it is best for children to

protect them from the unknown implications

of being in close proximity throughout the day with a teacher who has very recently taken the COVID-19 injection. "

The school said it will not employ anyone who has been vaccinated "until more information is known."

"We are not 100% certain that COVID-19 injections

are safe

and there are too many unknown variables for us to feel comfortable at this time," the school wrote, "until more is known, we must choose to be cautious when it's about the well-being of our students and the school team. "

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) did not respond to a request from NBC News for discussion, but recalled that the injections are "safe and effective."

Authorities from The Centner Academy allege that the COVID-19 vaccine may not be safe.

"The COVID-19 vaccines

. The vaccines met rigorous FDA scientific standards for safety, efficacy, and manufacturing quality necessary to support emergency use authorization." the agency said.

Long-term side effects of vaccines are

"extremely unlikely,"

according to the CDC.

Between December 14 and April 19, more than 211 million doses of the vaccine were administered in the United States, the agency noted.

Millions of people in the United States have received

COVID-19 vaccines, and these vaccines will undergo the most intense safety screening in the nation's history. This oversight includes the use of safety oversight systems, both established and new, to ensure the safety of vaccines, "said the CDC.

A Centner Academy mother told NBC News Miami that if she could get her son out of school now, she would.

However, he said he has already shell out $ 30,000 for tuition.

"The whole year

has been incredibly stressful

for all of us to know what to do. And I don't know if there will be teachers there," said the mother, who did not want to be identified because she signed a document that prevents parents from criticizing the school.

"They are very much in favor of 'my body, my choice', and yet what they say to these teachers is the opposite. It is your body, but it is their choice," he added.

from being around someone who has been vaccinated, a false fact that leading medical experts have denied.
